Beachfront is a sandbox game where you take care of mischievous alien critters as they soak up the sun, dig for buried treasure, and asexually reproduce.

How to play (GUIDE)

Please refer to this guide if you're lost or stuck:

Click on aliens to select them. The aliens are autonomous, but you may drag them around to influence their decisions. For example, some alien behaviors can only happen near the water.
Keep an eye on each alien's stats (fun, energy, potty, and food). If their stats are high, they'll consider repopulating; but if their stats are low (especially food), they'll die!
Aliens will sometimes dig for "sand dollars." This currency can be spent on various upgrades to the beach. For example, "fruit upgrade" increases the frequency of food drops (as well as raising the maximum number of food items that can spawn).
Towels let aliens recover energy easily. The sandcastle lets aliens have some fun. Discourage aliens from drinking saltwater; it's bad for them!

All code, art, music, sound, etc. was made by one person in less than 48 hours for the Ludum Dare 56 compo. The theme was "tiny creatures." I hope you have fun with my game!

PLEASE NOTE: a game-breaking crash was patched out after the deadline. Check the source code for transparency.
