RF3 Update #1


I've been working on a reasonably-sized update for Rainbow Festival 3, and here it is!

  • Added an in-game timer.
  • Adjusted how certain secrets might be discovered.
  • Added sub-secrets. There are currently two sub-secrets that require finding the main secret to experience.
    • Secret 3b was already in the game, but it is now classified as a secret.
    • Secret 4b is a new addition, and ooooooh I wonder what it could be.
  • It is now possible (and even viable) to complete the game after discovering secret 2a!
    • Without spoiling much, many aspects of the game have been silently modified to allow runs to keep going after secret 2a is discovered. It might even be faster than the "main route."
  • Adjusted a couple aspects of the final boss slightly (damage values, cage fall speed, and button location) to be more engaging. I have bigger changes planned eventually.
  • Increased the hitbox size of the sticky ball of goo thing that appears during the Bugster fight.
    • This also fixes a bug where Red could phase through the goo after discovering a certain secret.
Regarding changes to existing secrets (spoilers!) Secret 2a refers to the bouncy hat; secret 3a refers to night mode; and secret 4a refers to the roller level.
